Linguistic Diet
We live in a - mostly - selective world. When your mother escorted you through the kitchen for the very first time, and your age was still in the one digit range, you were probably introduced to some items which you had to preferably keep your fingers away from. You may have been allowed to drink water or juice (in case your mother is not a dentist) or milk (in case your parents have not converted to a plant-based food-consumption-life-style yet); however, regardless of your parents’ vocation or diet preferences, you had to keep the cleaning liquids out of your mouth, no matter how lovely the packaging, and no matter how bright and attractive the liquids within.
We are - mostly - quite selective when we attend the local supermarket, regardless of the profound selection of products. In most cases, we walk along those isles which contain our desired products. We choose our diet and our preferred body shape and, accordingly, place the most suitable products into our shopping cart. In case we wish to become slimmer, the big cart will then be left at the entrance of the shop together with its friends, so that we may carry, buy and eventually consume as few food items as possible.
Once we go to our (cherry-picked) hair dresser, we know - in most cases - what type of appearance we would like to carry on top of our heads, and we have - hopefully - communicated that precise vision to the person with the sharp scissors behind us. The pre-ordained vision of ours, the action of getting to the source of execution and the accurate description of our personal vision, together all comprise the way from desire to aquire.
The high level of selectiveness, when it comes to the clothes that we are wearing, the friends we allow ourselves to be surrounded by, the movies we eventually watch after browsing the latest streaming app for 30 minutes plus and the music that we listen to based upon the genre that we have become fond of, is a very present, vital, strong and life-manoeuvring force of ours. All of this has been taught and introduced with the element of selectiveness swimming in it, but speaking. All the available words out there seem to be confirmed as usable and the element of being selective with what we use while speaking, writing or talking - also in our minds - has never been introduced as an accompanying component to our growing vocabulary.
The life that we experience is the projection of the majority of our thoughts and beliefs and these have been germinated and established through the visions that have been created by our most spoken, read and written words.
Become selective with your words and get the ambitioned, objective vision of your life to yourself.
